A former employee of the Washington Lottery is accused of threatening to bomb and burn down the state lottery building in Olympia.
Mary Ellen Skube allegedly called her former employers on Oct. 11 and told them she had placed a bomb in the office of state Lottery Director William Hanson, according to court papers. Skube also said she wanted to kill Hanson.
In two rambling phone conversations, Skube refused to tell Lottery employees what the bomb looked like, but said the bomb would go off at night after the office closed.
She also told the employees she had drunk a bottle of tequila and had taken cocaine.
The employees told police Skube was slurring her words and “made several bizarre statements, such as claiming that she was pregnant with Jesus.”
Skube was pulled over the same night on suspicion of driving under the influence and booked into Thurston County Jail. She was also arrested for DUI on Sept. 29.
