The Scale Has Arrived

I used to imagine that the scale that could weigh me would be a giant thing. Diesel-powered and rusted, the instructions scratched off the sides but it wouldn’t matter because they’d be in Cyrillic. Manufactured in some Eastern Bloc country that only existed for a week, requiring a surly drunk to operate and translate the results. That is what I was expecting.
