SEATTLE — A man who police think was drunk, high, or both was captured breaking into a Madison Park home early Wednesday morning.
Officers were called to a home in the 3400 block of East Valley Street around 3 a.m. to a report of a burglary in progress. When officers arrived, the found the suspected burglar still there and placed him under arrest. The victims told officers they saw another burglar in the back of the home. A search with police dogs turned up empty and the man remains at large.
The victim told police the burglars came in through their unlocked front door. A woman inside the home came down to find the burglar sitting in a living room chair. She screamed at him to get out, but he didn’t budge.
Other family members came downstairs to see what was going on, and police were called.
