In case you’re tired of snow news, here’s a classic police report of Friday-night trouble outside a bar in downtown Fremont.
According to the Seattle Police Department, a drunk man pulled a knife on another man after the knife-wielder bumped into the man outside a bar at North 36th Street and Dayton Avenue North shortly before 2 a.m. Jan. 14.
The victim told the responding officer, who was flagged down by bar security, he had been standing on the sidewalk when the man walked by, bumping into him.
The victim asked the man what he was doing, and the man pulled out a folding knife, opened it and held it toward the victim, according to the police report for the incident.
When the victim again asked the man what he was doing, the man took at swing at him with the knife, according to the report.
A witness’ account largely backed up what the victim told police. Both the victim and the witness appeared to be sober, according to the report.
