A Queen Anne resident was severely beaten by a group of men in Kerry Park after they stole his cell phone, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The victim, who lives nearby, went down to Kerry Park around 1:16 a.m. Oct. 7. According to the police report for the incident, he was drunk at the time.
A man walked up to the victim while he had his cell phone out and asked to use it. So, the victim handed it over.
But when the victim tried to get it back, the man said it was his phone, according to the report. A group of men then jumped the victim, beating him severely, according to the report.
When the victim’s roommate walked down to the park to see where he had gone, she saw a “pig pile-type” fight going on. After the attackers got in a car and drove off, the woman realized it was her roommate bleeding on the ground, according to the report.
The victim, who had several cuts to his head and large bumps above both eyes, was taken to Harborview Medical Center
