‘Trying to start a fight’ – that’s how witnesses described a group of ‘loud, obnoxious, and drunk’ people outside a club on the 4500 block of 8th Ave. NE. early Saturday morning.
Just after 1:00a.m., police say a man left a house party and walked past the ‘rowdy’ group. After a few words were exchanged, police say one of the men from the group attacked the other man.
The victim fell to the ground, hit his head and began having seizures. While on the ground several other people from the group started kicking the victim and going through his pockets. They took his wallet and a couple other things before taking off in several cars.
When officers arrived they searched the area but the suspects were already gone.
Seattle Fire responded and helped treat the victim at the scene before taking him to Harborview. Police say his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
Police did find the victim’s wallet not far from the scene.
