A hug was not enough to tide things over for a musician who was roughed up outside a Queen Anne bar last week after a man accused him of flirting with his girlfriend, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Officers met the victim a few days after the incident at a Ballard 7 Eleven. He had his arm in a sling and was covered in bruises, according to the report.
The victim told officers he had just finished playing with his band around 2 a.m. July 24 at a bar in the 500 block of Queen Anne Avenue North. He said he had had a few beers and was mildly drunk.
He told officers he was being pestered by a woman he didn’t know. She followed him outside and asked for a cigarette. He didn’t give her one, he said.
At that point, an unknown man approached and accused the victim of flirting with his girlfriend, according to the police report for the incident.
