A man suffered non-life threatening injuries after being hit by a suspected drunk driver while trying to cross the street early Sunday morning, according to police.
The 69-year-old victim was heading across Denny Way at Broad Street when police say the driver of a green 1991 Honda Accord going east on Denny ran into him.
The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center for evaluation but is expected to recover.
Detective Jeff Kappel, with the Seattle Police Department, says the 36-year-old driver was evaluated at the scene for alcohol and/or drug use and placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
A collision reconstruction team responded following the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
