A fake fight late Monday night at Ballard Commons led to one hospitalization and a couple of arrests after two people took real (and violent) steps to break it up, according to the Seattle Police Department.
After receiving a call about a fight between four drunk men around 11 p.m. in the park, officers arrived to find the victim lying on the ground and his male attacker standing shirtless nearby, according to the police report for the incident.
According to the report, the attacker appeared to be drunk and would not follow commands, so he was handcuffed. Meanwhile, the victim – also very drunk and with bloody lips and a bump the size of a cue ball on his forehead – was struggling to get up, according to the report.
As the victim was unable to provide any information about the fight, officers turned to witnesses.
