A number of students at Peninsula High School will be wearing soccer shirts on Friday in support of a classmate fighting for his life after hitting a pickup that cut in front of him on Monday night.Jeremiah Jensen was on his bicycle on Soundview Road when a pickup crossed in front of his bike. He crashed into the side of the truck, and had to have brain surgery to relieve swelling soon after.Jensen’s classmates wanted to show their support for their classmate, and since Jeremiah’s favorite sport is soccer, they decided the best way to honor him would be to have as many PHS students as possible wear a soccer jersey on Friday.
