Police say a group of Capitol Hill bar hoppers didn’t take kindly to being kicked out of a Nagle Place establishment, so one of them decided to beat up a female employee.
Cops were called to the bar, located in the 1600 block of Nagle Place, Sunday morning at 2:15 a.m.
The bar owner met police on the street and pointed out a man who he said had assaulted him and two of his employees.
The owner said a group of “very intoxicated” people walked into the bar just after 2 a.m. Because they were already so drunk, bartenders refused to serve them and asked them to leave, according to a police report.
While they were being ushered out of the bar, one of the men allegedly turned around, poked a female employee in the face two times and then punched her. The owner jumped in the fray and the fight trickled out of the bar and into the street.
