Friend: Crash victim was ‘somebody doing good’

Police say a DUI suspect showed no regard for human life and as a result, a 26-year-old woman paid the price.They say the driver might never have stopped had his pickup truck not rolled on its side. The truck tipped after smashing into Meghan Stiver’s car. The woman was pronounced at the scene.Victim’s friend Brian Chandler says she had just finished her shift at Best Western Inn when she was fatally struck while pulling out of the parking lot. He left a bouquet at the site of the crash in Stiver’s honor.”I think too often that you hear of really really good people being killed by really really stupid people, drunk people,” said Chandler. “(She was) somebody doing good, making a living in a bad economy, smiling person.
