Extra police patrols will be hitting the streets as football fans kick-off their Super Bowl celebrations.
Officers throughout King County are urging people to find a safe ride home following Sunday’s big game.
According to officials, Super Bowl Sunday is a dangerous time for Washington roads, citing 191 DUI arrests in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties since 2009.
Extra officers will be patrolling a number of city and county streets looking for drunk drivers following the game.
The patrols are part of a coordinated effort among the three counties to reach zero deaths on roadways by 2030.
