The family of a fatal DUI crash victim is working to prevent others from suffering the same fate.Sheena Blair was driving with friends in Everett last year when a wrong-way drunk driver smashed into their car, head on. Blair and her friend, Martin Ramirez, were killed in the crash.Blair was just 24 years old.”It’s every parent’s worst nightmare come true,” said the victim’s father, Frank Blair, during a previous interview.Family members said Blair had a promising life ahead. She had earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, and hoped to work with troubled teens. Blair loved her boyfriend, and shared a special bond with her sister, Amy.In Blair’s honor, the family is holding a DUI prevention summit this Saturday. The event will be held at Jackson Hall Medical Center, located at 315 Martin Luther King, Jr. Way in Tacoma, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.Officials will be present to discuss the dangers of drunk driving and share tips on how to prevent DUIs.
