A King County Sheriff’s deputy was injured while chasing and trying to arrest a suspected drunk driver in the White Center neighborhood south of Seattle early Wednesday morning.The patrol deputy tried to pull over a car with four people inside for suspicion of drunk driving around 12:30 a.m. but the car sped off, said Sgt. John Urquhart with the King County Sheriff’s office.A brief chase ensued before the car suddenly pulled over and the driver ran away on foot.The deputy was able to grab a hold of the driver’s jacket, but the driver turned suddenly and the deputy fell to the ground, breaking his wrist. The driver kept running and is still on the loose.The deputy was taken to Valley Medical Center where he was treated and released and was recovering at home by late Wednesday morning. Urquhart says the deputy is 52-years-old and a three-year veteran of his department.The three others in the car were questioned and released, Urquhart said.
