Seattle hopes a ban on ‘high-octane booze’ will help curb chronic street drunks.
The city is working with distributors to create a voluntary plan to stop the sales of some alcohol products, including fortified beer and wine, between 6:00a.m. and 1:00p.m.
The pilot program would start in Lake City, and potentially Beacon Hill and SODO neighborhoods.
It would not include bars and restaurants.
The program could start as early as May.
