A “highly intoxicated” Canadian tourist will likely leave the Emerald City with a bad taste in his mouth after being roughed up and robbed during a night of heavy drinking.
Police were called to a house in the 1600 block of 13th Avenue early last Saturday to investigate a potential robbery that occurred several hours earlier.
When they arrived, they met with a man from Montreal who said he was in town visiting a friend. The man told police he was out drinking in Belltown late the night before into early that morning. He admitted to being “highly intoxicated” and losing sight of his friends during the night.
After drunkenly wandering around the neighborhood looking for his friends, the man hopped inside the back of a car that was either a taxi or belonged to a random stranger, though he couldn’t remember which.
